An afternoon of all things luxury at the Marylebone Hotel

It’s not everyday you find yourself at a fashion show of a highly reputable fashion designer, surrounded by flowing champagne and an exquisite afternoon tea to go with it. Sounds like every woman’s dream right?

Please do read on..

Once a year the Marylebone Hotel are kind enough to organise and showcase the latest designs from luxury London designer L.K Bennett at their modern restaurant, The Pantry at 108. A fabulous and convenient spot for lunch, for which I might add, have found myself here on numerous occasions.

This is the second year in a row that I have been invited to such a special event and every time I have not been left disappointed in the slightest. That afternoon I had been out for a tasting menu at Circus so was a little worried about whether I could fit in an afternoon tea on top of this but surprisingly I wasn’t as full as I had anticipated which meant, you guessed it, more room to indulge in lavish treats. Win

To begin the late afternoon occasion, there was a champagne fuelled reception with light snacks of battered fish bites and plenty of mouth water canapes before we were shown to our tables for more of the bubbles and as an Aussie would say, stuffing of the cakehole (excuse the slang)

At the gracefully laid out table we found a goodie bag placed on the Edwardian style furniture and an assortment of scrumptious items such as gourmet sandwiches, beef wellingtons and gorgeous fruit topped fluffy meringues. You can also find a number of these delectable treats on their afternoon tea menu (gluten free as well).

The fashion show kicked off there after, with the models strutting their latest collection between the tables of the townhouse styled restaurant. This collection is yet to be featured in store, so I must admit that I felt rather special being able to catch first glimpses of their winter/spring pieces.

Plenty of gorgeous green & deep coloured outfits were on display and a spot of bling from the handbag and shoe range which is always a crowd pleaser.

Loving the tweed look!!

Big thanks to Olga for inviting me along to this sophisticated evening of high class fashion and food. I really couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the festive season and as always, its such a pleasant experience popping by the Marylebone to be greeted by such warm, hospitably people.

Introducing the Golden Network & an evening @ Amanda Wakeley

London really is a fantastic city when it comes to networking and meeting new people. Moving countries can be a daunting experience, especially in such an over populated demographic. So who better to back this up than moi her myself!

Ive been very fortunate to have made friends with some delightful people, some who I can happily call my nearest & dearest and interesting walks of life through my gallivanting adventures. Ive never really struggled to build strong relationships with people but appreciate that putting yourself out there can be quite an overwhelming (and scary) task at hand; although very rewarding in the long run!

Since ive started blogging I have attended loads of events and been networking like crazy. Its all about getting involved, making the most of what this vibrant city has to offer because there is plenty of it going on.

No sitting on a bench or making excuses!

I meet up with the Golden Network’s founder, Victoria Salem who started this exclusive community back in February 2014. Coming from a financial back ground and being a social bunny like myself, thought it would be a great idea to start up a professional networking community to further develop and build relationships with like minded individuals.

Something that drew me to this top networking site is the variety of restaurants, bar and private members clubs that they also happen to work with and host events at. We all know how much I love to be social in this city, so ideally this is highly attractive and fits in well to the current lifestyle I live.

Once being granted membership by application, members are able to access exciting upcoming events online and create there own profile.

Members range from industries such as –

Commercial & investment banking

Asset management

Consulting & Business services

Wealth Management

Hedge fund & Private equity

Pure & Lite gold memberships are available and for more info you can contact the team by email on:

Their sophisticated events range from private tours of galleries, wine tasting, cabaret nights, industry related talks and providing 24 hour luxury concierge service. Providing VIP queue jumping, complimentary drinks and assorted discounts, they have also created strategic partnerships with a number of big brands including Vogue, GQ, Glamour, Vanity fair, BMW, Square Mile and Amanda Wakeley.

Speaking of Amanda, I was invited to come along to my first event at the glamorous flagship store in Mayfair to find out just how it all works. The store itself is two levels and guests are greeted with a glass of champagne while getting the chance to check out their gorgeous pieces on display.

I got the chance to catch up Bridget who is the private client bookings & events manager for the store. She shared with me her enormous passion for the luxury clothing and accessories brand which has gone from strength to strength in their occasional wear to providing a wide range of chic clothing for the ‘every day’ lifestyle.

After a quick debrief of the designers history and being treated to a sneaky peak of the new seasons collections with a mini fashion show, we were welcomed to try on some of our favourite pieces including their dazzling and elegant dresses. In particular, the black Asayii raven sculptured gown, which was rather alluring. A figure hugging, floor skimming knockout which was awfully tempting to try on (I wasn’t the only one feeling this way)

Sadly in the end, I didn’t walk away with any captivating items, however I will mention that Amanda has also created her first tea range of smooth green and white herbal tea leaves including flavours of my current obsession – dark chocolate!! I believe this is a favourite of the designer and even comes in a beautiful intricate box. This I can say, I did purchase and are yet to brew it over a lovely pot of tea.

Many thanks to the professional team at Amanda Wakeley & the Golden Network. Looking forward to attending many more future up and coming events!!

Fashionista inspired tea @ The Berkeley

What’s the best way to celebrate your birthday in style? Easy. Champagne afternoon tea of course!

My flatmate (and fellow birthdate buddy) and I, had been researching places all over London for the past couple of months and with such a vast selection to dig through, we finally narrowed it down to one fabulous hotel located in Knightsbridge – The Berkeley’s FASHIONISTA’S AFTERNOON TEA.

Prêt-à-Portea is their latest and greatest creation. With an assortment of colours and themes inspired by the worlds finest fashion designers. If you’re a fashionista then this would be right up your alley.

After being seated on a luxurious caramel coloured leather chair, we were welcomed with of complimentary glass of Laurent Perrier bubbles and some brightly coloured green menus awaiting our our perusal.

Leading designers such as Jimmy Choo, Alexandra McQueen, Valentino and my favourite man of fashion at the moment, Moschino have all been used to create some mouthwatering cakes, elegant canapés and fancies for your tasting pleasure.

A selection of tea sandwiches were bought to the table first, followed by a beautifully presented three tier cake plate.

A vintage tea pot of Opulent orange chilli tea was ordered and we were all set to go. All the china here is designed by Paul Smith, so quality has not been spared.

We came up with a divided strategy to eat 1-2 savoury then change it up with something sweet. Its all about life balances as they say 🙂

Matthew Williamson Macaroon

Moschino ‘Yellow M’ handbag of blood orange and victorian sponge cake

The freshest fish with the smallest and most delicate mushrooms ive ever laid eyes on!

Creamy than creamier goats cheese and chutney

Dolce & Gabbana’s whimsical owl with blackcurrant flavours of the forest and milk chocolate sprinkles

I just couldn’t get enough of this beauty of a cake – dark chocolate, gooey caramel centre with red and pink polka dots. Seconds please!

Alexandra McQueens chocolate shortbread shoe with glittery icing

…and just in case this wasn’t quite enough for one sitting, we were each given a ‘Happy birthday’ plate with fresh fruit. A ‘special touch’ for two very lucky ladies.

Everything is constantly replenished, so as to be expected, you will no doubt over eat and why not I say, it cant be helped when you are surrounded by such good looking pieces of food art.

Another option is to bundle up the left overs in a cutesy fuchsia cardboard bag to take away with you. Just another glamorous touch that the Berkeley has to offer.

Top notch service, sophistication and pure elegance. A wonderful way to spend a birthday or any afternoon for that matter. Don’t forget to take a few snaps in the front foyer before you leave. Their flowers are designed by Mcqueen’s and I believe, are some of the best arrangements around. Just gorgeous!

A Private Showcase – Vashi Diamonds

Diamonds are a girls best friend.

Ain’t that the truth!

When I was asked to attend a private viewing of Vashi Dominguez’s beautifully crafted jewel’s, like any other girl I was pretty excited about the fact that I had the opportunity to try on some seriously amazing bling.

I was joined by a number of lifestyle and fashion bloggers taking over the Tart Bar, sipping on some delicious Cotswolds Gin London Mojitos while viewing some of the most exquisite pieces of jewellery I had ever seen. Of course the fun part – trying all of it on 🙂

This yellow sapphire and white diamond halo ring is simple stunning!

Square Halo Prong Set Engagement Ring – hello!

Forever Diamond Ring in 9k White Gold teamed with the channel set diamond ring.

Born and raised in Tenerife, Vashi is a personal jeweller to celebrities, billionaires and some pretty high-profile people across the globe. Recently he was nominated for Digital entrepeneur of the year at the Great British entrepeneur awards 2014.

These rings by far caught my attention and I had to try the ‘layered look’ with the crossover diamond wedding ring, the split shank halo engagement and the 18k white gold vintage-style Diamond wedding rings. Can I pretend just for now that I am engaged? 😉

Keyta taking a closer look at those sparkly little stones we all adore.

A fantastic event and definitely a first, up close and personal ‘diamond’ experience for myself. Vashi’s collection is elegant, jaw dropping and certainly very tasteful. You can check them out online and have a great time building your own ring. (lets face it, as a female this is something we all have fun doing). A big thank you to Laura Scott for inviting me along and giving me the opportunity to view this collection. Also for helping with the photography on the night.

An afternoon at Buckley Jewellery

Hanging out in your local shopping centre with a reality TV star, trying on beautiful jewellery while munching on some delicious macaroons is not quite the average way you would spend your Saturday afternoon….. but hey this is me your talking about and I never do things in halves.

Buckley is the UK’s largest costume jewellery manufacturer’s whose brands include costume jewellery brand, Buckley London, elegant sterling silver brand, BOUTON, and vintage inspired heritage brand, Attwood & Sawyer.

The brains behind this gorgeous line of of quality pieces is Adrian Buckley, who created his first collection back in 1989 when Buckley London was first born.

On Saturday they opened their very first retail shop at Westfield White City with a guest appearance (who you may well heard of) from Made in Chelsea – Fashionista and top fashion blogger, Rosie Fortescue.  Rosie has a keen interest in BOUTON’s fabulous ring collections and I dont blame her, they are just stunning!

The Bouton Poppy brooch which comes in a variety of different designs including the famous union jack, the classic gold and red plus an exclusive silver/diamond number.

Not only is it a great accessory but is also a very special piece of jewellery to wear for Rememberence day.  Adrian’s first poppy designs were launched in 2010 and since then have raised millions for the Royal British Legion. A number of celebrities are also big fans of the brooch which include The Duchess of Cambridge, Fearne Cotton, and Nicole Scherzinger. Adrian is big on giving back to the community and is involved in various charitable work, hence his huge support and giving back 100% of the profits raised. Incredible.

This dazzling Bouton poppy is made from 925 Sterling Silver has been intricately put together with over 100 flawless clear simulated diamonds and featuring a one carat, ruby red stone, to add the ultimate sparkle. Love love.

Im massively into glitzy accessories and one can never over do it if its worn the right way. Both Attwood and Bouton are classy and elegant which when you look at it, appears over the top pricey but dont be mistaken as this is not the case at all. So reasonable starting from £35.00. Now that is affordable.

Loving this divine Bouton bracelet which you can have for £495.00

The chairman, Sir Eric Peacock dropped by to say hello and what a lovely, friendly man I might add.

If you would like to check out more of their jewellery line, head to their page – or pop your head into their store and say hello to the wonderful staff at Westfield. I can assure you they will be more than accommodating to your needs.

Online Fashion, high end brands…. Repertoire is where it’s at!

Who doesn’t like online shopping? I know these days, for me I prefer it over walking around hectic shopping centres for hours on end, never being able to find exactly what im looking for and spending money on things I probably shouldn’t be (eg the food hall)

Armani Jeans Navy And Turquoise Logo Print Scarf (click for link!)

Absolutely in love with this stunning aqua and navy blue Armani Jeans Scarf which I happily donned while I was in the desirable South of France. Whether its summer or winter you cant go past a beautiful bold scarf to accessorise with practically any outfit.

American Vintage T-Shirt (click for link!)

Grey is on my list of fabulous colours at the moment and now that the Autumn season has approached us in full swing this American Vintage long sleeve t-shirt is very appropriate. I combined this with my black tube skirt and the scarf to dress it up for an evening out but you could easily get away with this on a casual Sunday afternoon with a classic pair of jeans and some funky sneakers.

Barbour Heritage, Cream Long Sleeve Bird Print ‘Finchale’ Shirt (click for link)

I adore this bird print shirt from Barbour. The colour and style are right up my street. Paired with jeans and tan coloured ankle boots it seems to fit in well with the Autumn vibe. Don’t forget to accessorise it up with simple necklaces, wrist bling and a eye-catching lipstick.

Susan Caplan Vintage Jewellery

Thanks to Grove Communications, I was given the chance to meet with the wonderful Susan Caplan at her showroom in Camden and view all of her stunning vintage pieces she has collected over the many years. I also had plenty of fun trying on some of the jewellery which lets be honest ladies, we all love to do!

I was greeted by a very bubbly and friendly woman called Louisa who talked me through the business side of things and how Susan Caplan all started.

I also got the chance to interview Susan and below are some questions I threw out there to find out  a bit more about how it all began with this talented woman.

1. When did you realise you wanted to become a Jewellery collector?

“I’ve always known. My parents really encouraged an interest in art and design when my sister and I were growing up. I started collecting my own little treasures on trips around the world when I was working as a beauty therapist on the QEII.”

2.     In terms of Fashion and Jewellery designs, what are your inspirations?

“I am inspired by beautiful craftsmanship – it could be an intricate delicate design or a bold, statement style and I would appreciate them just as much.”

3.     What is your favourite brand you have collaborated with to date and why?

“I couldn’t possibly single one out – each collaboration has allowed me to share different parts of our collections from Selfridges and our vintage Versace pop up to Issa London and accessorizing their SS13 Fashion Show (it was very Elizabeth Taylor which I loved).”

4.     What makes you different from other Jewellery collections?

“Well of course being a vintage collector is the biggest difference but further to that, I believe that the quality and condition of my pieces, together with the breadth of our range, is quite unique.”

5.     Tell me about the best part of your job as a collector?

“I love the jewellery – I’m able to explore the world sourcing my collections so I see so many different types of jewellery on my travels.”

6.     What is the most cherishable piece of Jewellery you have found so far?

“I think I would have to say that it was the vintage Versace body piece that I sourced for a collaboration we did with Selfridges a few years ago. It was really very special and originated from Gianni Versace’s 1992 bondage collection (image attached)”

7.     What should we expect to see in the future for Susan Caplan?

“There is a lot to come from Susan Caplan over the next year including collaborations and special projects – watch this space!”

8.     And most importantly where can we go to find all these exquisite pieces of yours?

“You can go straight to our website ( or visit one of our stockists in store” –

I am an avid lover of Chanel and Christian Dior so I could hardly contain myself when I saw all the gorgeous pieces surrounding me. But thats not all. She has plenty of other treasures from the likes of Versace, Valentino, Monet, Givenchy and Celine. Bold and elegant necklaces, mostly gold-plated with plenty of glitzy and glam earrings/brooches to match. Susan’s clients range from famous faces such as Rita Ora, Claudia Schiffer, Emma Watson, Rihanna and only recently has she collaborated with the popular online store, ASOS.

There is no denying that her collection is of the utmost high standard and well-kept condition that they pride themselves on.

The fabulous picture below is Susan’s favourite – the Versace body piece. Which I can totally understand why – magnificently beautiful!

Vintage Versace BodyPiece

Susan’s attention to detail is also one to take note of. I couldn’t help but notice the perfect condition of each item considering that a lot of items are well over 40 years old.

The Chelsea Chair. The Hair Experts in SW10

My local salon situated in the swanky area of Chelsea and on the Fulham Road has been the place I have been frequenting for the past year to keep my Blonde locks (and sometimes Brunette) looking their best. Opening on the 4th July in 2013 with a magnificent opening party I might add, is owned by creative director Sharon Joyce with herself and Rebecca Joyce running the business together.

Introducing the wonderful staff –

Holly (beauty)

The Chelsea Chair offer AVEDA products ranging from hair colour, shampoos + conditioners and beauty. Aveda, if you aren’t aware are an eco-friendly brand, also made from plants and natural extracts while keeping it as organic as possible.

Their services include as per below:

This also includes Aveda facials, manicures, pedicures, eyebrow shaping, eyelash extensions and massages which Holly their beauty specialist will be able to assist you in any of these areas of need.

One thing I really do love about this salon is the friendly, social and warm atmosphere it brings.  I always feel part of the family every time im there and the staff are always so accommodating.  After speaking with Becky she tells me that they are not just about the hair but about building relationships with their clients. Always willing to go the extra mile as far as flexibility is concerned and catering towards their needs where ever possible.  The small patch of businesses on Fulham Road also work together as a community and with most of the stylists working for well over 10 years in the area, you could say that their knowledge and clientele database is on the larger scale.

As for clients, this includes a number of high-profile people and members of the Made in Chelsea Crew.

In November 2013 they were asked to attend as guests for the British Hairdressing awards and at the end of August will participate in the upcoming Aveda fashionistas competition for next seasons colour.  Not to mention that they have been featured and reviewed in magazines such as Tatler, Glamour and Resident.

Open 7 days a week and catering for all ages from children and up, I guarantee you are in very good hands the moment you step into their trendy premises. They also welcome walk-ins if you happen to be passing by and need that emergency blow-dry or a quick trim.

Stay fabulous! 🙂

Day 81 – 90

Day 81

Wednesday’s can only mean one thing – the Baker Street food market! I did consider avoiding the park at the beginning of the day due to my clean eating phase that I have been trying to do over the past few weeks but I couldn’t help but have a little meander down just in case there happen to be a few healthy alternatives.

Well what do I see. The Avocado Cafe – BINGO.

On the menu today they had horseradish and mackerel patty with beetroot dip, avocado and a leafy salad.  I did good. Oh and the food. Well of course it was cracking. Their dips are sensational and very fresh. The Beetroot is definitely my pick and a really good mix with some water crackers and feta cheese.

Day 82

Lunching at Giraffe in Marylebone. This place is particularly good if you only have an hour for lunch and their menu has alot of surprisingly healthy stuff to choose from. The below is Juliette’s salad which consists of a variety of nutritious bits and pieces – broccoli, sugar snaps, bulgar wheat, beluga lentils, toasted seeds, rocket, cherry tomatoes & baby spinach in herby salsa verde dressing. Delish. They also have a lunch for less deal which means you pay no more than £6.75 for a meal. Splendid.

Day 83

Battersea power station – a very iconic and gigantic building in South West London is up for redevelopment so Everyman cinemas decided to run a series of open air films during the summer months called the Power of Summer. This is my very first time at an outdoor cinema so I was unsure as to what to expect however there was no sign of rain which meant I didn’t have to worry about the fact that I came unprepared with no umbrella nor a rain coat. They also had a street feast of half a dozen food stalls, bars, a DJ playing some pretty hip tunes and a trampoline just in case you felt like jumping around like you were 5 again. We were given a headset and a cosy beanbag to lay on in front of the big screen – pink of course.  The classic Pulp Fiction by Tarantino was screening and the evening ended very nicely finishing up at about 11.30pm. I was practically falling asleep by this stage. Those damn bean bags were just way to comfy. 🙂

Photo Collage Maker_Yp0d4I

Day 84

Chiltern Firehouse – this place is definitely the hottest place around town at the moment (pardon the pun) Impressive venue and good value for money. Surely if all the cool kids are hanging here then it must be half decent right?  You can check out my review on this former fire station or even better be the judge for yourself and book a table if you are lucky enough to score a reservation within the next 3 months. Good luck, I promise you it’s totally worth the wait.

Day 85

Sunday afternoon I popped over to see a friend baking some of her wonderful creations.  I don’t want to give too much away but judging by the photo you can get a pretty clear indication as to how amazingly good they were. I will mention that this one is the poppy-seed and lemon cake.  All her cakes are Paleo and if you have no idea what I am talking about it then a short summary I would describe it as being centred around the ‘caveman’ diet. Based on the premise that if our ‘Paleolithic‘ ancestors didn’t eat it, we shouldn’t eat it. Keep an eye on my blog in the next couple of weeks and I will fill you in on much more interesting facts about this popular diet and obviously all these yummy cakes to go with it.

Day 86

I keep seeing women wearing dozens of bright coloured and mismatched bracelets all over their wrists lately and I wanted in on this fashion craze. I walked past Accessorise on my way home and thought it wouldn’t hurt to pop in and have a look. I went straight to the sale rack  at the back of the shop and saw a number of clear bags filled with bits and bobs.  I was intrigued. I rarely find myself looking for a bargain, in fact I am hopeless when it comes to anything sale related. Some people have just got the knack of finding some really decent pieces and accessories but me on the other hand, rubbish…. until today.  I managed to find all the below bracelets for £3! Unreal. This is a proud moment right now. I am finally on my way to becoming a serious bargain shopper. Hooray

Day 87

I was asked to attend the IonfashionUK conference with a number of other bloggers and various brands, mostly within the fashion industry. Held above Vibe bar in East London, it was quite a welcoming change to be on the other side of town. I do love the edgy and hipster-ness of Bricklane and Shoreditch but I am somewhat lazy when it comes to catching a tube for more than 30 minutes from SW6. Anyhoo the conference was my very first so I was a little nervous as to what to expect and how I should act. The speakers were all very successful in their own right and gave some great advice for newbies like me who are just starting out.  It can all be slightly intimidating and daunting when you are starting something completely new and unfamiliar  – the self doubting thoughts that always cross your mind and asking yourself whether you are doing all the right things. To me its all about learning, personal growth and the experiences that come with it. It definitely got me out of my comfort zone and im really glad I was able to attend it in the end.  They even provided lunch and free drinks at the bar – big ups to that! I’m also loving my Heidi Klein bag full of goodies. Looking forward to many more in the future.

Day 88

I am a very lucky girl receiving this delivery from Fortnum and Mason which certainly brightened my day. A selection of luxury biscuits in a delightful tin provided by the well to do department store in Piccadilly Circus. All im hoping now is when I take them home im not going to give in and demolish the whole thing by the end of the day. Trust me I am quite capable of this debauchery.

Day 89

Thats Vapore has opened downstairs in the same building as our office and they were kind enough to offer us a complimentary meal for lunch.  I’m still getting my head around the concept but I believe it is healthy ingredients that are all steamed and served in a basket.  The salmon was my first  choice  but that was all gone so I had to go for the smoked Haddock with chorizo. Not complaining, it was free and not bad if im completely honest here. However I have to debate whether I would spend the £8 they were asking for. There is far too much variety and competition in the area so I will be interested to see how well they do in the coming months.

2014-07-17 22.46.27_resized

Day 90

Free breakfast on the boss this morning (also big shout out to Alistair Hugo catering) Rows and rows of danishes, pastries, fruit skewers and granola pots greeted me with a warm bakery scent as I walked into the cafeteria at 9am.  Cant say I wasnt happy about digging into all of this and what a way to start the day off on a good note. Now I wonder if the Boss will agree to doing this every Friday?

Getting closer to finishing the challenge – only 10 days to go!

Stay happy,

Happy days keep comin’ Day 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45

27 May 14

28 May 14

While we are on the ‘purchasing’ subject I made the executive decision to jump onto another favourite online shop of mine – ASOS, to shop for summer clothes. Why is it that as a woman we always complain that we never have anything to wear or I need a new dress that ‘Im probably only going to wear once or twice’. Does that sound familiar?!! Anyway truth be told as that I actually am in need of a summer wardrobe so you can only guess that it I ended up purchasing this bright little number to add to the collection. This photo probably doesn’t do the colour any justice, in fact I was told it was pink online but its actually more like a neon peach. One thing I do like about ASOS is most of their clothes are good quality and I don’t have to deal with loose threads after one wash – painful.

29 May 14

On the train heading to Gatwick airport for my weekend getaway to Barcelona to see my mum and her partner. Its been just over 14 months which is a very long time to be away from your family but when you make the choice to live over here so comes dealing with the fact that its far and few between that you will get to see your loved ones. I soon as I knew she was coming over to do her Med cruise I had to take the opportunity to meet her somewhere and what better place than the incredible city of Barcelona. Theres just something about the vibe of the place that keeps me coming back for more. The endless amounts of tapas restaurants, clever architects like Antoni Gaudi, fantastic transport system and endless festivals make it a definite favourite of mine. If you want to find out more check out my post later this week….

30 May 14

Im such a lucky daughter receiving some goodies from my mum. She certainly knows me all too well! The jar of marmite is something ive been wanting for the past two years but unfortunately the Sanitarium factory in my home town Christchurch had to be bulldozed down when it was struck by the devastating earthquakes many years ago. People were bidding up to $30 for that small jar online!! I cant say im a massive fan of British marmite of Aussie vegemite so I was ever so pleased to receive this!!! The Tim Tams are u huge household name in Australia and these little bites are just new out.  If i had to describe what they tasted like then I may get in trouble for what im about to say so I will just keep it simple  and boring by just saying you will have to try them for yourself if you are ever visiting that part of the world…

2014-06-01 09.02.41_resized

31 May 14

Being a blogger I am all about getting creative with photography and also known for being abit of a poser (yes I admit it!) I had to ask mums partner to take this beach shot with my darling mother. Im pretty sure he was sick of me asking every 5 minutes ‘can you take a photo’ but if it wasn’t for this I wouldn’t be able to look back on all the wonderful memories I have had and shared with my loved ones over the many years of my life.  With technology ever growing and phones now with excellent cameras, I really don’t think it is an excuse to not take a few shots especially when you are experiencing all this amazing planet has to offer.

1 June 14

As crazy as it seems I had planned to have a small get together with some close friends at my place to celebrate the first day of summer, literally two hours after I landed back in London – insane or what?! My friends know what I am like and that I love planning a good party or event so I had to take advantage of the warmer weather and my lovely garden (which  by the way I haven’t even had the chance to sit out in yet).  Of course being an Kiwi/Aussie I do appreciate a good BBQ and coming from having one nearly every day to pretty much never, I was so excited about the fact that when I moved into this place I knew I could use it in the warmer months and actually enjoy some outside space – which most of you know is very hard to find in London.
